Turner Today
By Alfredo Flores
There are many great new things at R.L. Turner this year. The best thing that Turner has received this year is its new staff, with 30 new members added. The new staff includes both teachers and administrators. Every new teacher this year, has mentioned that they are super excited to work with new students.
"I am very excited and eager to support the learning the students will encounter throughout their Turner journey," says Mrs. Papadopoulos, iLead Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Papadopoulos, the iLead Assistant principal who is one of the new administrators on our campus, was a teacher/counselor from Creekview High school. She is very excited to work with her own community, her family, and students in Carrollton.
"Creekview is a bit smaller, less students and is not divided into smaller learning communities like Turner. The population at Creekview is very diverse, similar to a melting pot, while Turner is majority Hispanic population," she added.
iLead Assistant Principal, Mrs. Papadopoulos also gave an explanation about how its different from her old school where she taught before.
"I am enjoying Turner and it's a wonderful group of students and teachers! Go iLEAD!" said Mrs. Papadopoulos, who has been enjoying everything about Turner.
