Every Friday after school, students gather to hang out, play video games, card games, and others of the sort. These gamers will sometimes bring their own consoles, and play a game of their choice.

 

“It’s really fun to just hang with friends and other people to have a good time playing video games”, said a sophomore who wanted to remain anonymous.

 

They usually play Super Smash Bros. Brawl (SSBB) for the Wii, and in another section of the room, there are people playing card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and regular poker cards. 

 

“I really love the challenge of meeting other people who play the same card games as I do... It’s also cool to see people bring their own games in contrast to the usual SSBB. I’ve seen a variety of games they’ve brought… fighting games, platforming games, and sometimes shooting games”, he said.

 

Gaming Club is a great place to hang with friends after a long week of schoolwork. They weren’t here to just destroy each other in competition, but to simply have fun with friends, and make new friends.

 

“Gaming Club isn’t just a club, it’s a large group of friends,” he concluded.
